Juliette Bryan, Director

Juliette has more than 20 years of SAS experience, 14 of them in the area of Big Data, Data warehousing, Data science and Visual Analytics. With comprehensive analytical skills, developed in a wide variety of industries, Juliette has experience in roles as principal consultant and data warehouse manager/architect which has provided her with extensive experience in; managing and developing staff, leading projects, extracting and manipulating data from many sources (specifically SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata and DB2), programming complex queries and developing BI solutions.

Juliette has worked extensively with SAS Institute as an employee, consultant, instructor and good will ambassador and has developed many professional long term relationships. Juliette has expert experience in the SAS DI/BI tools including Management Console, SAS Visual Analytics (VA), DI studio, Information Map Studio, Report Studio, OLAP Cube Studio, the OLAP JAVA viewer, SAS Stored procedures, The SAS Portal, SAS add-ons for Microsoft Office,  SAS SPM and Enterprise Miner.

From her extensive experience working with users and as a SAS instructor Juliette has an ability to communicate complex technical information in an easy to understand manner.  Juliette has worked both as a permanent employee and independent contractor, consistently demonstrating an ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Juliette was recently awarded the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (Department of Home Affairs) Australia Day Medal

Miles Nicholls, Director

Miles has been working in the IT industry for over 15 years and has particular depth of experience in managing and delivering business intelligence and data management programs and developing the associated communities of practice.  Miles has a practical, delivery focussed approach to efficiently delivering effective impact.

Miles has experience in establishing organisational data management programs including developing and maintaining the data management strategy and work plans, setting methods and capabilities and establishing an effective team culture.  Miles has built the data management team, selected and mentored the staff to a high performing technical team delivering value in a broader multidisciplinary project team.

Working both locally in Australia and Internationally Miles has engaged state, territory and federal government agencies, commercial and community organisations, research institutions and individuals to become active and collaborative members of an open data management community.

Miles has experience in community of practice development, managing and actively participating in working groups, workshop facilitation, training material development and delivery,  is a co-author on a number of journal publications and has organised and delivered conference sessions.

Miles has the technical background to support his management and strategy development expertise with experience in ETL development and data analysis using a broad range of tools and platforms.  Miles has individually worked with hundreds of data sets, producing reports, analyses, dashboards and analysing and transforming data for migration to other infrastructure.

Miles was recently awarded the CSIRO medal for international impact for his work with the Atlas of Living Australia (https://www.ala.org.au/).
